The tender for the conservation of new animal genetic resources has been published
A call for proposals for rural development to support the ex situ and in vitro conservation of animal genetic resources and the implementation of professional support activities has been published, within the framework of the KAP Strategy Plan until 2027. Support applications can be submitted in the period from June 3, 2024 to July 3, 2024, on the electronic interface for submitting the unified application.

Our genetic resources for agricultural purposes, the domestic farm animal species and breeds are our highly important national heritages, parts of our national identity and symbols of Hungary at the same time. Therefore, finding, preserving and maintaining our genetic resources is in the common interest of all of us.
This is the purpose of the call that has just been published
The support promotes the preservation and maintenance of protected indigenous, endangered agricultural and agricultural animal breeds undergoing species reconstruction along three target areas – ex situ gene conservation, professional support activities, and in vitro gene conservation activities. On the basis of the tender code number KAP-RD24-RD26-1-24 entitled “Support for the ex situ and in vitro conservation of animal genetic resources and the implementation of professional support activities”, non-reimbursable support can be granted to natural and legal persons engaged in gene conservation, or non-legal entities. organizations that contribute to the preservation of protected native, endangered agricultural and agricultural animal breeds undergoing breed reconstruction, and undertake the implementation of their obligations on a voluntary basis, according to the conditions specified in the call.
