The regulation on fatty acid content of foods has been published
After a ninety-day grace period, the regulation on fatty acid content of foods has been published in Wednesday's issue of the Magyar Közlöny (Hungarian Gazette).
The essence of the regulation: it will be prohibited to distribute such food products in which the fatty acid content excesses two percent.
The scope of the regulation covers those oils, fats, fat emulsions that are intended to the consumer acovered by their own or as an ingredient in a food. The regulation does not cover fats of animal origin, naturally occurring trans fatty acids. (MTI)
