In May we did a short cover interview with Csaba Mándy Jr, the future head of Mary-Ker Pasta Kft., who talks about the generational change in the management of the family business.

Then we examine the consumption habits of the silver generation, i.e. those aged 65 and over, who represent an increasingly significant purchasing power on the FMCG market, and explore the consumer potential of Generation Z – young people born between 1995 and 2006. In this section we write about products in the free-from category such as gluten-, lactose- and sugar-free and low-carb foods, as well as plant-based alternatives. Our final article summarises the marketing opportunities inherent in sports and the trends observed in this area.
Our Shelf Mirror column starts with the breakfast cereal market, followed by ice cream, mineral water, soft drinks, energy drinks and gins. We devote a separate section to feminine hygiene and the beauty industry, from skin care to makeup trends. The beauty section deals with sunscreen products, oral care and essential oils, among other topics.
In the Sustainability section – in addition to the latest news – we report on the joint event of the Hungarian Marketing Association’s Green Club and its HoReCa Chapter, which focused on the experiences since the launch of the DRS system and HELL ENERGY’s sustainability investments. In Trade magazin’s HoReCa section you can find a report by the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs on Stube restaurant, as well as news from the Hungarian Confectioners’ Craft Union.
