Lidl Hungary is publishing another element of its well-known and deservedly popular series: the 11th Lidl cookbook titled “A pinch of laziness” is here. The volume is about what many of us desire: cooking can be simple, joyful and achievable for everyone. And the luckiest ones can also see this in the framework of an exclusive cooking experience with Mizsei Jani and Kapunics Gréti at the end of the promotion.

In the volume, Mizsei Jani, the Michelin Hungary Young Chef award-winning chef of MÁK bistro, and dessert blogger Gréti Kapunics show through a total of more than 70 recipes that cooking can be simple and joyful. The book helps everyone with this, as it uses ingredients that can be easily obtained even at Lidl, and easy-to-follow instructions, allowing readers to create delicious dishes, whether they are beginner cooks or advanced culinary artists.

“The Lidl cookbook series has been enriching the range of domestic gastronomic volumes for more than a decade, and it enjoys real popularity, which is well proven by the fact that 4.5 million copies have been published over the years. We always try to compile the book in such a way that it resonates with current trends, and at the same time the recipes and tips from our experts are of real help to our loyal customers. This year, with the 11th cookbook, we would like to inspire them again to get started, even if they are not very confident in the kitchen”

– said Tibor Kovács, Marketing and Customer Experience Director of Lidl Hungary.

“A Pinch of Laziness” is more than a collection of recipes, it’s also the story of a team who believe that cooking is a joy and that everyone can start – you just have to be brave enough to do it. It also contains useful tips that can really make everyday life more relaxed:

  • Tips from the wine expert: Fanni Piskor, Lidl’s wine expert, helps you choose the perfect accompaniment to your meals, for example.
  • Tips from the dietician: Adri Szabó, Lidl’s dietician, ensures that there is balance in addition to the delicious snacks.
  • Suggestions from the veterinarian: Dr. Pálma Piller helps you with the correct nutrition of your pets.

The recipes in the book are organized into 5 categories for easier navigation – from budget-friendly, tasty dishes to quick meals to healthy and trendy snacks. The reader is also helped by information such as how many people the given recipe is for or how long it takes to prepare the given dish. In addition, it is also indicated which exemption category the given dish belongs to, but now we can also find the marking that indicates that the descriptions must be followed exactly in order to be successful, or that the proportions can be modified according to taste.

Like in previous years, Lidl Hungary wants to please its loyal customers with the new exclusive volume this year too. The gift cookbook will not be sold commercially, in limited numbers, customers can only access it using the Lidl Plus application between November 24 and December 23, 2025 in the “Cookbook Point Hunter”. The points earned after purchases are also collected in the application, there is no physical sticker issuance and collection. For every 8,000 forints spent, one point is earned in the application, of which six must be collected. After that, you can activate the coupon and request the free cookbook at the checkout.

In addition, this year’s promotion also contains a special surprise: anyone who collects at least 24 points and accepts the terms and conditions can participate in a prize draw where they can win a cooking experience with Jani Mizsei and Gréti Kapunics!
