Henkel published its Sustainability Report 2009
Henkel Sustainability Report provides an overview of the major environmental and social developments of the 2009 financial year.
Henkel is constantly working to make its own procedures more energy saving, and more raw material friendly. The company has set ambitious targets for water and energy savings, waste reduction and avoidance of accidents in the workplace. The sustainability results of the 2005-2009 period show that these efforts resulted in success. For example, the carbon dioxide emissions decreased by 25 percent, water consumption by 37 percent, the amount of waste by 12 percent. During the same period, the number of accidents at work decreased by 57 percent.
