Food became more expensive again
In recent days, the KSH has published statistics on retail sales in March, which revealed the amount of panic purchases in store sales before the restrictions: the sales volume of grocery stores increased by 15 percent, compared to March of the previous year. At the end of this process, the previous survey of Privátbankár.hu’s Basket Survey, published on 7 April, showed an unprecedented annual price increase of more than 9 percent in Hungarian hypermarkets.
