Despite the varied weather, the grilling season exploded in May: data from Kifli.hu shows that demand for grilling meats, sauces, marinades, side dishes and vegetables has increased dramatically in recent weeks. The range now includes more than 300 different grill and casserole products – from classic ingredients to international specialties, including more than 50 meat-free alternatives.

Although the weather in recent weeks has often been capricious, the grilling season is already in full swing – at least on Kifli.hu. Thanks to changing shopping habits and the ever-expanding range, the “summer on the balcony” feeling has already started in spring, which this year tempts you with more taste experiences, premium ingredients and innovative solutions than ever before. The online supermarket currently offers more than 300 grill and casserole products, from classic ingredients to special internationally inspired dishes to meat-free alternatives.

60 percent of Hungarians grill, and 41 percent grill outdoors at least once a month – according to a representative survey by market researcher Opinio in 2024. According to the data, grilling is not only a popular gastronomic activity, but also a prominent social experience: 87 percent of respondents grill in company, with friends or family. The most popular ingredient is meat (95 percent), but more and more people are also putting vegetables (51 percent) and fish (17 percent) on the grill.

Meat lovers of the season can choose between fresh products from domestic suppliers and specialties inspired by international street food. Pereg and Eatventura Angus beef burger patties, Kaiser BBQ spicy chicken breast fillets, homemade flavored fried sausage mixes, and favorites such as Kaiser beef Brisket, fried Caesar bacon, or the Grill-Mix XXL package are extremely popular. The range is also enriched by Jack Daniel’s flavored BBQ-side and Nocker Angus beef burger.
