Colonnade Insurance has extended the deadline for Unitravel customers to make up for the deficiencies.
Colonnade Insurance has extended the deadline for Unitravel customers to fill in the gaps until September 14, the company announced. The remaining data and documents can be submitted until this date.
According to the insurer, payments will only be made for fully submitted claims, but some of the reports are incomplete or inaccurate, which is why the deadline has become necessary to change.
The tour operator filed for insolvency in June, and since then nearly 800 victims have filed claims. Of these, 155 used the travel opportunity provided by IBUSZ Travel Offices Ltd., while the others directly contacted Colonnade Insurance, which provides financial security.
The company published a list of documents to be submitted on its website and informed those affected directly. According to the statement, claims will still be accepted this week, and another reminder will be sent to customers about the extended deadline and the necessary actions.
