HGL has signed a lease agreement for another 10,000 square meters in the industrial real estate developer HelloParks’ megapark in Maglód. The dynamically growing logistics service provider started its operations last year on 5,000 square meters in the MG1 hall of the industrial and logistics park near Liszt Ferenc International Airport, and with the current expansion, it will operate on a total of 15,000 square meters.

HGL plays a key role in the processing of e-commerce goods arriving in the European Union via Hungary. The company handles the receipt, customs clearance and onward shipping of products to the European market in Maglód, which requires fast turnaround, modern infrastructure and reliable operation.

“HelloParks Maglód offers a modern and predictable operating environment that fully meets our fast-paced and high-volume logistics needs. Based on our experience over the past year, it was clear that we wanted to further expand our capacity here,”

– said Paul Szeman, CEO of HGL.

The current agreement not only indicates the strengthening of HGL, but also confirms the viability of HelloParks’ airport-based strategy. The company’s goal is to build a service ecosystem that fully serves the needs of logistics, customs and freight forwarding companies operating around the airport.

“The expansion of HGL is an important feedback for us, as a globally active, large-volume logistics partner has decided to start a significant development in our Maglód megapark and is committed to us for the long term. This agreement is particularly valuable in that it was successfully completed during a challenging market period,”

– said András Bodahelyi, Senior Business Development Manager at HelloParks.

There are currently two finished warehouse halls in the HelloParks Maglód megapark, MG1 and MG3, offering a total of 91 thousand square meters of rentable space. 95 percent of the available spaces in the buildings have already been filled, primarily due to strong demand from companies in the airport region. The MG1 hall is the first industrial property in Hungary to achieve the BREEAM Excellent sustainability certificate in the New Construction category. A third hall, MG4, is currently under construction in the Maglód industrial park, and the industrial property developer is already in advanced negotiations for the available areas.
