Action Enters Croatia As It Expands Network To 15 Countries
Dutch non-food discount retailer Action has entered Croatia with the opening of its first store in Sesvete, extending its footprint to 15 countries.
The new store will give the residents of Sesvete access to around 6,000 products across 14 categories, including laundry, personal care and household cleaning, among others.
The outlet in Sesvete, spanning over 822 square metres, operates every day of the week, from 09.00 to 21.00, and is managed by a team of 18 people.

“Opening in Sesvete marks the beginning of our journey in Croatia, and it is only the first step towards making the Action experience available to many more Croatian communities in the years to come.”

Action introduces 150 new products every week, ensuring a relevant assortment, with more than two thirds of products sold priced under €2.
With more than 3,300 stores across Europe, the discounter employs approximately 84,000 colleagues of 166 nationalities.
In 2025, the company created more than 4,500 jobs and invested in development opportunities like training and promotions.
Action reported net sales of €16.0 billion in its 2025 financial year, reflecting a 16.1% increase compared to 2024.
This growth was primarily driven by an expanding customer base, with an average of 21.6 million shoppers visiting Action stores weekly – a 15.5% increase from its 18.7 million weekly visitors in 2024.
Action exceeded its goal of opening at least one new store daily in 2025, adding 384 new locations and bringing its total to 3,302 stores across 14 countries.
