Apple Tap to Pay has arrived in Europe: it can revolutionize commercial payments
Apple’s new payment service, Tap to Pay, arrived in Europe this year and simplifies payment processes by turning iPhones into POS terminals.
The technology allows users to make contactless payments with their NFC-enabled devices, such as an iPhone or Apple Watch, making life easier for merchants and customers alike. Tap to Pay debuted in the UK last year and after a successful trial period is now available in six European markets including Germany, France and the Netherlands.
In addition to the speed of the system, security has also been given priority: payment data is encrypted, and neither Apple nor merchants store transaction data, so customers can enjoy complete protection. The service is expected to arrive in Hungary when Apple receives positive feedback from their key markets.
