Asparagus has arrived at Kifli.hu – more and more people are looking for seasonal, domestic vegetables
Kifli.hu’s spring offer has been expanded with a new specialty: fresh, domestically grown asparagus is available from April to mid-June, which is not only delicious but also extremely healthy. With the arrival of the season, demand for seasonal vegetables and fruits has soared: in the past ten months, the turnover of the online supermarket’s vegetable and fruit category has increased by nearly 40 percent.
The king of vegetables – tasty, fresh, rich in nutrients
Asparagus, whether green or white, is a true spring specialty. Its high folic acid, vitamin A, C, E and K content, as well as its antioxidants, support the immune system and cell protection. Due to its low calorie content and high fiber content, it is particularly popular among conscious eaters.
Kifli.hu’s offer includes high-quality Hungarian asparagus grown by Bács-Zöldért Zrt. The Kecskemét producer farms nearly 200 hectares, of which about 50 hectares are dedicated to asparagus. The fresh produce is processed, sorted, cooled and transported the same day so that it reaches customers as fresh as possible.
Versatile to prepare, easy to incorporate
Asparagus is not only healthy, but it can be prepared in many ways: it is excellent steamed, grilled, baked in a cream sauce or wrapped in bacon. It can also be easily incorporated into everyday meals with simple recipes, for example dipped in garlic sour cream or baked in a pan.
Further expanding range, always with fresh ingredients
In addition to asparagus, Kifli.hu’s selection also includes other seasonal specialties: wild garlic, fresh basil, exotic root vegetables, as well as permanent favorites such as tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. The dynamically expanding range is based on freshness and local producers – taking advantage of the advantages of online shopping.
