Sugar beet production is worth in Hungary
The one and only Hungarian sugar factory produces 120 thousand tons of sugar this year, which is more than the quota of the European Union.
The Magyar Cukorgyár Zrt. (Hungarian Sugar Factory Ltd.) has began the processing of sugar beet in less than two weeks ago. In an earlier press conference, Fischer Béla, President and CEO of the factory told that today is worth to grow sugar beet in Hungary, because the 7 euros per-tonne EU and the 4 euros per tonne national support and the institutionalized sugar beet price is a good business opportunity for producers – reports tozsdeforum.hu.
