Auchan doubles the number of its hypermarkets in Romania
While Auchan slowed down its investments in Hungary due to the crisis tax, in Romania the chain develops its network with full steam. The French Mulliez family owned retail chain spends 150 million euros on the development of seven new units until 2014.
The French Auchan chain builds seven new hypermarkets in addition to the existing seven units, in the next three years in Romania – writes Romanian Ziarul Financiar newspaper. Three names were disclosed of the planned locations; Iasi, Constanta near the Black Sea, and Craiova – reports Népszabadság Online.
