ALDI doubles online shopping availability, home delivery now available to 3.2 million Hungarian consumers

Five years ago, in November 2020, ALDI Online Shopping was launched in Hungary, providing online shopping opportunities from the discount chain’s range. The products are assembled by ROKSH personal shoppers and delivered to customers. The two companies have now made the online shopping service and home delivery available in new settlements, doubling the number of settlements where this solution is available. The list was recently expanded with towns and villages in Nógrád County, thus doubling the coverage of ALDI Online shopping in a short time, which will consequently be available to 3.2 million Hungarian consumers from November 2025.

The settlements are of various sizes, in addition to the largest ones – such as Budapest, Pécs, Debrecen or Szeged – nearly 40 places have fewer than 3,000 inhabitants, and 21 villages have a population of less than a thousand, for example, in Csesztve in Nógrád County, with a population of around 300, you can now order from ALDI.

“With our online service, a large part of ALDI’s offer goes to your home: around 3,300 products can be purchased in our online store, which is open 24/7, and the products are prepared and delivered to your home by ROKSH personal shoppers during store opening hours. This is a significant help for those who do not have a shopping facility nearby or who find it difficult to carry the goods. ALDI Online shopping takes these burdens off the shoulders of customers: with the help of ROKSH, ALDI’s offer reaches their front door. For online purchases worth over 12,000 HUF, delivery is currently free using a coupon code”

On the ALDI Online shopping platform, weekly special products are available to customers in the same way as to those who visit the 187 ALDI stores in the country. Online shoppers choose dairy products the most, at over 20%, from ALDI’s rich offer, followed by fresh vegetables and fruits, then baked goods, refrigerated convenience products, frozen foods and household chemicals, which appear in almost equal proportions in an average basket.

ROKSH’s personal shoppers have already prepared and delivered hundreds of truckloads of goods to Hungarian customers, providing significant help to those who have poor food supplies nearby or for whom shopping is a burden.
