Tesco doubles the amount of food collected for charity
Tesco nearly doubles the amount of food collected to charity in the company’s food rescue program.
From now, the supermarket chain recollects the no longer sold, but still edible croissants, rolls, sweet and savory pastries and forward it to the needy with the collaboration of the Hungarian Food Bank Association. By the end of October 2016, the domestic department stores collected 2703 tons of food surplus, within the program against food waste that was launched in 2013.
