Declining consumer willingness in Europe's largest economy
The German retail sales decreased during March, contrary to expectations. It's almost certain that the German economy will shrink in the first quarter.
The revised sales datas for February, increased from 0.4 percent to 1.1 percent but a 2.4 percent decrease occured in March. Annual increase was 2.9 percent, which are the best datas, since September 2008. On a quarterly basis a 0.9 percent decline has occured. For this year, the German Retail Federation expects a 0.5 percent decline in retail – reports ProfitLine.hu.
