Gastro idol – Video of the day
Here's a new exclusive preview of ABC's upcoming cooking show The Taste, featuring Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson. The show gives contestants, here called “kitchenistas,” the chance to prove their skills with just one bite of food. Bourdain recently told Good Morning America that the show would be “a constant shock.”
In this new clip, a mouthful of spice-crusted rack of lamb draws criticism from the judges, which also include chefs Ludo Lefebvre and Brian Malarkey. The kitchenista in questions bites back, and then Bourdain offers the sole vote of confidence. “You and me, Tony!” says the relieved kitchenista. “We're going to get along great.” A two-hour special premiere of The Taste will air at 8:00PM ET on January 22, and it will continue to air Tuesdays at 8:00PM for one hour, starting January 29. Check out the video below, and earlier previews here.
