Lidl unstoppable
Lidl expands further in the Central European region: the German discount chain opened its first stores in Bulgaria on Thursday. The company has entered to the Hungarian market in 2004 and it is the most important discount chain currently.
Lidl opened its first stores in Bulgaria Thursday morning – reports the local news agency, the Novinite. The German discount chain entered the Bulgarian market with 14 shops in 11 cities on the same day – including Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna. But this is only the beginning; in the near future, the chain would like to increase the number of its stores in Bulgaria to 40 – reports mfor.hu.
