Amazon expands free 1-day delivery on items
Amazon Prime members will get free one-day delivery on more than 10 million items this holiday season. The news comes on the heels of Amazon eliminating delivery fees on its Amazon Fresh grocery service for Prime members that have been using the service.
“We know the holidays can be a busy time, especially with 2019 being one of the shortest shopping seasons. Our goal is to make the season as easy as possible for customers and deliver smiles at every turn, whether it’s shopping the largest selection available for free shipping, or getting holiday essentials delivered the very same day, and more,” said Maria Renz, vice president, global delivery experience, Amazon, said in a press release.
Amazon customers also have expanded free options this holiday season with regard to purchase pickup given self-service Hub Lockers in over 900 cities nationwide, including Amazon’s Whole Foods Market locations.
