More salty sticks from Győr
Intersnack’s Győr production facility increased its annual production capacity from 16,000 to 19,000 tons by installing two more salty stick baking production lines this April.
Thanks to the capacity expansion 30 more people are recruited by the snack manufacturer which already has 400 employees. State secretary for external economic relations and foreign affairs Péter Szijjártó and Győr mayor Zsolt Borkai inaugurated the new production lines, together with Intersnack Hungary managing director Róbert Merkler. Mr Merkler told at ceremony that after the HUF 1-billion investment they already have eight production lines. The products they make are exported to 40 countries (e.g. to Poland, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, the Ukraine, Russia, Scandinavia and China) – 60 percent of their snacks were sold abroad already before the capacity expansion. Intersnack Hungary has been a supporter of the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid. They donated the first 8,000 packs of salty sticks off the new production lines to the charity organisation
