Never before have so many young people tested their financial knowledge

A new record has been set in the K&H Watch Out, Ready, Money! financial education competition series for students: a total of 3,438 teams registered this year, which is 10 percent more than the previous year. Never before in the fifteen-year history of the competition have so many teams participated, with more than 14,000 students testing their skills in the first round. Thus, more than 100,000 children have participated in the competition since the competition began.

The K&H Watch Out, Ready, Money! financial competition, which is celebrating its fifteenth season this year, continues to enjoy unwavering popularity. A total of 14,000 children registered for the anniversary competition, compared to 12,300 last year, and the number of teams increased by 10 percent to 3,438. The detailed data also shows that the number of teams coming from the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Heves and Nógrád counties, as well as the Vas, Veszprém and Zala counties, has increased significantly. The former region is represented by 511 teams, and the latter by 441 teams.

The first round ended with special awards

After the first round of the competition was concluded, the game organizer K&H awarded several special awards. The award for the person who prepared the most students was won by Sándor Kozma. Under his leadership, 607 children entered 144 teams this year.

The special award for the school that entered the most students in proportion to the number of students in the school was won by the Óbudai Árpád Gimnázium in Budapest with 604 students. The school operating in a disadvantaged micro-region that entered the most students in relation to the number of students in the school also received a special award. This recognition was also earned this year by the St. László Catholic Primary School and Kindergarten in Géderlak.

The novelty of this year’s anniversary competition is that the best TikTok money teacher also received a special award, which title was won by Mária Kovács-Sólyom, a teacher at the József Attila High School in Makói.
