ESG is still a source of confusion
According to EY’s latest international research – conducted in 53 countries, including Hungary – 51% of Hungarian respondents aren’t familiar with ESG legislation, which is a worse result than the Eastern European (40%) and global (35%) averages. Only a third of Hungarian companies surveyed have some insight into sustainability issues, while two-thirds of respondents believe that their organisation is compliant with ESG regulations. The research also revealed: the majority of Hungarian companies haven’t clearly decided who is responsible for compliance with ESG legislation. //
