Even the NÉBIH was shocked
Due to serious hygiene irregularities, the operations of an animal by-products processing plant in Baranya County was suspended with immediate effect – the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) told MTI on Thursday. The agency inspected the plant following complaints from citizens. The firm had a license.
The NÉBIH explains that in one of the storages about 24 tons of pig bones, heads, intestinal pieces were uncovered, in an other storage compost was collected also without cover.
At the site, 70 meters from the fence is missing, so the wild, stray dogs also had access to the waste without barriers. (MTI)
