Medvedev: the security of the Russian food supply is essentially ensured
Russia’s food security is essentially guaranteed. The value of exports may reach 45 billion USD in five years – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting in Lipetsk, Kubany County.
He recalled that the first national project on food security in 2006-2007 triggered the rapid development of the Russian agro-industrial complex. Last year, Russian grain and food exports were close to 26 billion USD and Russia is ranked among the world’s leading grain suppliers. (Pogár Demeter, MTI)
