How long may the fast winds blow for the Hungarian meat industry?
Is this the nadir, or is it possible to screw more on the machine pressing the sector? – Éder Tamás president of the Meat Association gave this title of his presentation at the seventh seventh press conference of the association on Wednesday.
He noted that the Hungarian meat industry’ performance decreased in 2012 similar to the previous years. The reasons are black economy and the decline in competitiveness.
At the event Kardeván Endre state secretary of the Rural Development Ministry spoke about state food inspections, Simon Péter, Chief Operating Officer spoke about the success of the hog marketing program of the Hungarian National Tourist Office and the Agricultural Marketing Centre, while Vella Rita Client Service Director of GfK Market Research spoke about the characteristics of meat consumption.
