Fish harvest celebration in the Hortobágy

The harvest season has begun in the Hortobágy and lasts until the end of November. On this occasion, the Hortobágy Fish Farm Ltd. organizes harvest celebration for the second time – Lupsán Róbert CEO said at the  opening ceremony of the two-day series of events Saturday.

He reported that until now, 230 tons of fish, mostly carp have been caught out of the Elepi lake, the average weight is 2.6 kg per fish.
During the two-day harvest festival 150 tons of fish will be fished per day in front of the visitors.
The main purpose of the harvest celebrations is to bring closer the fish to consumers, and to endear a variety of fish dishes with the public – added Lupsán Róbert.

The main performers of the festival will be Magna Cum Laude, Hooligans, Chrome Rt, Bihari Gellért, the Törköly Zenekar, the Hortobágy-Délibáb Népdalkör, the Csiribiri band and the dancers of Feeling Fantasy. (MTI)
