Mátrai wine tasting in Budapest
More than a hundred of wines of thirty wineries can be tasted at the May Grand Tasting of Mátrai wines on Saturday in the ballroom of the Sofitel Budapest Hotel.
The Mátra is Hungary's second largest wine region, however only a few of the domestic wine consumers are aware of, despite high-quality family-run wineries, as well as large wineries producing for export markets are also operating there – Megyeri Sára organizer told MTI. The wineries include Babiczki Wine, Benedek Pince, Centurio Szőlőbirtok, Karner Gábor kézműves borászata, Kerekes Pince, Losonci Pincészet, Nagygombos Borászat, Szecskő Pince and Szőke Mátyás Pincészete, (MTI)
