MasterCard: Display card to come

MasterCard presented the new generation of payment cards in Budapest, which is equipped with a display and a touchscreen. The card displays the account balance, and uses a single code for Internet shopping.

The card stores the data in a built-in chip card. The account information updates when using the ATM card, then it will contact the bank. At online shopping it can not immediately show the new balance.
The battery in the card endures for five years, but lasting minimum 3 years at very intensive usage. However credit cards are usually issued for a shorter period for one or two years – reports Index.
