MasterCard: Budapest is the eighteenth most visited city in Europe
Budapest is ranked 18th among the most visited cities in Europe. According to the survey of MasterCard, in Central Europe Budapest is the third most visited city, behind Vienna and Prague.
In comparision with the cities of other continents Budapest is the 46th out of 132 cities – the card issuer company told MTI on Monday.
According to the survey, Budapest received 2.3 million visitors, in 2012 who spent a total of 1.3 billion USD in the shops, restaurants and hotels. The statement applies for foreign travelers arrived by plane spending at least one night in Budapest. (MTI)
