Infarm to open second vertical farm in the United Kingdom
German vertical farming start-up Infarm will set up a 9,760m² vertical farm in the UK, which will supply retailers in the greater London area and across southern and central UK with herbs and salads. Every unit occupies 25m² of ground space and they are 10 metres high. They can produce up to 18 million plants per year and generate the crop equivalent of 360,000m² of farmland at full capacity.
