U.S. retail sales decreasing
According to the government’s datas, published on Wednesday, U.S. retail sales are decreasing for the second consecutive month in May.
On a monthly basis, retail sales in May decreased by 0.2 percent, similar to April. There was no example of retail sales decrease in two consecutive months for nearly two years now.
Analysts expected a 0.3 percent drop.
The annual growth was 5.3 percent in May.
The total value of retail sales according to the seasonal and calendar effect adjusted datas were 404.60 billion USD in May. (MTI)
