The wine sales of the Varga Winery rose by one and a half million bottles last year
The Varga Winery sold 10.6 million bottles of wines last year in Hungary, one million bottles more than in 2013. The total sales of the winery were 12 million bottles after the 10.6 million of 2013 – Varga Péter managing director and owner told MTI .
He said that despite the worse-than-expected conditions, they were able to produce and buy the necessary 12.5 million kilograms of grapes. He explained that in the second half of 2014, the demand for wine has increased. In the first half of last year, the sales of the winery increased by 4 percent, while in the second half of the year, the sales increased by 21 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year – he added.
