Marks & Spencer: revenue growth, mainly from abroad
The total turnover of the British retail chain Marks & Spencer increased by 2.7 percent, in the second quarter of the current financial year ended in 26th September, compared to the similar period of 2008.
The chains’ stores abroad contributed with 9.6 percent to the growth.
The turnover of the domestic stores opened at least for one year decreased by 0.5 percent. The introduction of a women's casual clothing collection played an important role in this.
The chain, also presents in Hungary, operates about 900 retail outlets. More than 600 can be found in Great Britain – reports Világgazdaság Online.
