Gyula Marik is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shell Hungary

As of October 1, Gyula Marik will serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shell Hungary Zrt., in addition to his existing position as Regional Procurement Manager, the company announced to MTI on Monday.

Gyula Marik began his career in the financial field at Shell in 2001, after graduating from the University of Szeged. Over the past two decades, he has held regional and management positions and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Shell Hungary since 2016.

As part of Shell’s Central and Eastern European management, he has been actively shaping the region’s commercial and supply strategies since 2014 as the Procurement Manager responsible for the Central and Eastern European region, and since 2021 he has also represented the company on the board of directors of the Hungarian Hydrocarbon Storage Association (MSZKSZ).

Gyula Marik replaces Andrea Istenesné Solti, who is leaving the energy company after more than 32 years.
