Hungary agricultural PPI tones down
Hungary's agricultural producer prices rose by 8.9% year on year in March, falling from a growth of 11.6% in February, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) has reported.
The KSH detected a 11.1% yr/yr in the first quarter, excluding
fruits and vegetables, agricultural producer prices were up by 9.3% yr/yr in
March. The producer price of vegetables edged up 0.9% yr/yr in March (vs. -0.1%
in Feb) and rose 2.8% in Q1, against +5.4% in Jan-Feb.
The producer price of poultry for slaughter increased by
9.0% , the price level of cereals (including seeds) leaped by 28.3% yr/ . The
producer price of potatoes soared by 66.5%,
Fruit price inflation came to 14.8%.
It was a notable rise in price by vegetables.
