0.2 percent lower consumer prices in March
In March consumer prices dropped 0.2 percent according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). In comparison with March 2015, food prices augmented by 0.7 percent. Seasonal product prices elevated by 18.4 percent. Pork’s price dropped 19.3 percent and milk became 10.5 percent cheaper. Alcoholic drink and tobacco product prices grew by 2.4 percent. Services were provided for 1.4 percent more, but household energy cost the same as in the base period. Motor fuels got 14.8 percent cheaper. Compared with February 2016, consumer prices were up 0.1 percent, but food prices fell 0.2 percent. //
