Tesco will not leave Central Europe
John Allan, the Chief Executive of the Tesco Group said that the shareholders have decided that the Tesco will not retire from Central Europe – Index wrote after Reuters.
The current goal of the retailer is to grow on the markets where it currently operates, Allan said. Nevertheless, he pointed out that if certain circumstances occur, the group may make change its mind.
Recently, the British press suggested that due to severe competition Tesco was planning to sell assets in the CEE region. (index)
