Tobacco already being purchased in Nyíregyháza

Universal Leaf Tobacco Magyarország Zrt. (ULT) plans to purchase 6,000 tons of Virginia and 3,000 tons of Burley tobacco. ULT employs 27 people permanently and recruits 150 workers for this season. The Hungarian Tobacco Growers Association estimates that this year’s yield will be higher than the 1.7 tons/hectare in 2013.
