Thousands of people are already using BudapestGO’s new shopping features
BudapestGO’s new shopping functions have been available for two months now: the shopping cart function and the option to make purchases for other users. BKK’s developments that respond to customer needs are being used by more and more people every week. Since its introduction, more than 7,000 people have purchased two different products at once with the “shopping cart” function, and since it has been possible to buy tickets or passes for others in the application, BKK customers have bought more than 11,000 products for each other in total.
At the beginning of May, the Budapest Transport Center announced long-awaited developments that simplify the shopping process. One of the company’s new features is the “shopping cart” function, the essence of which is that multiple tickets or passes can be purchased at the same time with one transaction. This way, a customer traveling with a one-time ticket can buy, for example, a 10-minute collective ticket and a 30-minute ticket at the same time, and can adjust which ticket to use for a given trip.
Since the introduction of the new payment solution, more than 7 thousand customers have made more than 8 thousand transactions in this form, which means that an average of 1-1.3 thousand customers use it per week. Between May 6 and June 22, BPGO customers made purchases worth a total of HUF 32.3 million using the “basket” function.
On average, public transport users add products worth HUF 3,700-3,800 to their baskets per purchase, and over the past two months, the largest number of purchases were made using one-time tickets (10-ticket collector, 30-minute ticket, line ticket). BKK customers most often added a 30-minute ticket to the 10-ticket collector, line ticket and 90-minute ticket, while line tickets were most often added to the 30-minute ticket.
