We can already study pálinka tourism at the university
The Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) is launching a specialty in the field of pálinka tourism. The unique training prepares the participants for the Hungarian national drink, the pálinka to be worthy of the planning of gastronomy and tourism programs.
Whether it’s Irish whiskey, German beers or Cuban rum, there are many places around the world that build tourist programs on quality alcoholic beverages. There are great opportunities for pálinka tourism in Hungary as well, but to reach this goal, besides good quality pálinka, it is necessary to develop an attractive tourist offer for the whole experience chain, with events built around the drink, proper service and well thought accompanying programs.
