Nearly 15,000 kg of donations have already been raised in Tesco’s extraordinary food donation fundraising campaign
Almost 15,000 kg of food has already been donated by Tesco’s customers in the extraordinary summer long-term food collection campaign launched by the chain of stores and the Hungarian Food Bank Association. The action, which runs until the end of August, aims to help people in difficult situations due to the coronavirus pandemic with food donations. The initiative was also joined by Iain Lindsay, the UK’s ambassador to Hungary, who donated food to the Tesco hypermarket on Vienna Road.
The coronavirus pandemic has put many families in an extremely difficult position. Not only have they needed support in recent months, but the slightest attention in their recovery will matter a lot in the coming period. In the spring, Tesco supported the needy with a large donation of food.
