Hungarian melons are already available

The Hungarian melon is already available in stores and markets, and in a few weeks it will be available in larger quantities in the open field, the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) pointed out on Friday.

According to the chamber’s overview, the most significant production area is located in Bács-Kiskun county, and due to weather anomalies, more and more people are switching to safety film tent production.
In Hungary, based on seed sales and yield estimates, melons are grown on about 525 hectares this year, which is an increase of almost 5 percent over the previous year. (MTI)
