Rossmann already delivers with GLS
More and more people are purchasing drugstore products online, and online purchases are increasingly being made in the capital and agglomerations at Rossmann Hungary as well as in rural areas. The drugstore network’s webshop closed last year with a turnover of over 6 billion, which is more than a 30% improvement compared to the previous year. According to the company, user-friendly sales interfaces and predictable and fast delivery play a key role in this. Now, after assessing customer needs, they expanded the range of delivery partners with the addition of the GLS courier service.
Rossmann’s webshop closed last year with a turnover of over HUF 6 billion. Online Drogéria recorded significant growth last year: they sold 12% more products online annually and grew by more than 30% in one year.
The momentum of online shopping continues
“In 2022, compared to the previous year, we sold 12% more products online, which clearly shows the transformation of shopping habits in recent years: more and more people are taking advantage of the opportunities offered by online ordering and there is apparently a great demand for the services of the Online Pharmacy. We are constantly working to make the ordering process as simple and fast as possible, we also tried to develop user-friendly functions for our renewed mobile application, and now we have also expanded the range of home delivery options”
– pointed out Ádám Fürjes, head of the Rossmann Magyarország webshop.
A significant number of online customers still come from Budapest and the agglomeration, but the number of orders from rural areas is also constantly increasing, and cooperation with GLS is a step forward for the drugstore mainly in serving these needs.
