The REpoint redemption application already has one million users
The REpont application developed for the mandatory redemption system implemented nationally has reached one million registered users, MOHU MOL Hulladékzágászólji Zrt announced on Monday. Two-thirds of the registrations took place in the summer months of this year, July and August, which indicates the rapid spread of the system.
The application already handles almost 10-15 percent of redemptions and has been one of the most popular applications on Internet download sites for weeks. REpont’s success among users is also helped by the transfer of immediate redemption fees to a bank account, which is a unique solution in Europe.
Since the introduction of the redemption system, more than 400 million bottles, cans and bottles have been redeemed in Hungary, of which a total of HUF 3 billion have been transferred to users. The application also provides the opportunity to use the funds for charitable purposes, and based on feedback, additional functions may be added in the future.
