There are only a few days left to pay the damage mitigation contribution!
The Hungarian State Treasury (Treasury) draws the attention of agricultural producers who are members of the damage mitigation risk community to the fact that it is possible to legally fulfill the payment of the 2023 damage mitigation contribution until September 15, 2023.
Transfers initiated or received on September 16, 2023 are already considered overdue! The receipt of the damage mitigation contribution by the deadline is one of the basic conditions for obtaining the right to use the damage mitigation benefit. By August 15, the Treasury informed those concerned about the details of the payment obligation in a decision. An important detailed rule is that only the amount credited to the professional budget sub-account of Agricultural subsidies under number 10032000-01220191-51900001 by September 15 of the current year can be considered a payment by the deadline, and payment can only be made by bank transfer.
You have to pay attention to every detail!
It is the responsibility of the payer to take care of the transfer before the deadline, taking into account the time required for the transfer, by indicating the correct account number, and to check the actual performance of the transfer by the financial institution. Don’t forget to fill in the notification column correctly either, since the incoming amount can only be identified based on this. It is therefore important to enter the customer identification number of the damage mitigation risk community member, as well as the tax identification number and tax number! The payment of the damage mitigation contribution is mandatory, so the amount not paid by the deadline is considered a public debt to be collected, like taxes. If the Treasury deducts the amount of the contribution from a subsequent payment of the farmer after the above deadline, the producer will no longer be entitled to use the damage mitigation benefit.
