One can pay with the old 2000 and 5000 HUF banknotes until Monday
One can pay with the old 2000 and 5000 HUF banknotes until Monday, because at the end of July the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) withdraws them from circulation, from August 1 only new banknotes can be used for payments.
Old banknotes can be redeemed free of charge in all bank and post offices for three years and for twenty years in the central bank.
According to the information provided by the MNB, the banknotes introduced in recent years are durable and up-to-date. (MTI)
