Uniform applications can be submitted without penalty for only three weeks
By May 21, 2023, farmers submitted 89,836 uniform applications, more than 77 percent of which, 69,677 pieces, were submitted with the help of the Chamber’s village farmers. Applications can be submitted without penalty until June 9, 2023. The National Chamber of Agriculture asks producers not to leave the related administration to the last minute.
This year, the uniform application submission period started on April 20, and it is possible to request support for more than 50 support titles and measures, as well as fulfill the obligation to provide data. By May 21, 2023, producers submitted 89,836 applications, more than 77 percent, 69,677 with the help of the village farmers of the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy (NAK). Last year, a total of 165,188 uniform applications were received by the Hungarian State Treasury by the final deadline of June 9.
Sanctions are still in effect
This year, in view of the new rules, the Ministry of Agriculture waives the application of the late penalty in the case of submitting an application, so applications can be submitted without penalty until June 9. Unified applications submitted after June 9, 2023 will be rejected without substantive examination. The changes of the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy effective from 2023 will greatly affect domestic farmers, thus also the submission of this year’s uniform applications. Due to the significantly changed system of regulations and conditions, as well as the specific regulations related to each title, several things must be paid attention to when submitting an application.
Compared to previous years, the fact that more information and data must be provided in relation to individual legal titles and agricultural plates means additional time compared to previous years.
In the case of animal-based legal titles, filling out and checking the individuals participating in the support requires more attention than personalized applications. NAK asks farmers not to leave the administration of uniform applications to the last minute, whether they use the help of village farmers or not. Chamber members who did not request the participation of a village farmer in the application submission in previous years, but would like to do so this year, should contact the village farmers closest to their place of residence by phone in order to make an appointment. Their contact information can be found on the NAK portal, in the village farmer search engine.
