There are hardly any places left for Christmas and New Year’s Eve trips
Christmas and New Year’s Eve trips are already almost fully booked at Hungarian travel agencies.
According to Tamás Zsebők, head of Z(s)EPPELIN Travel Agency, the nearby Advent markets – Vienna, Prague, Krakow – are the most popular this year, but interest in Helsinki and Mediterranean cities is also growing. At Christmas, many people are looking for a community experience, and on New Year’s Eve, in addition to Alpine destinations, Tuscany and Istanbul also fill up quickly. The proportion of multi-generational trips is increasing, and inflation does not reduce the desire to travel, but at most slows down the rate of growth.
The role of advance booking has thus become even more important.
