Large chains are targeting the music market
The big chains are discovering newer and more and more surprising markets worldwide. It is not enough that we do the shopping in them (or via their webshop), some of them are operating as telephone service providers or as travel agencies as well. Recently, however, an another front opened in the war of supermarkets.
According to the latest trends, the British retail chains are moving towards the music market. Among the largest supermarket chains of Great Britain, Sainsbury has recently launched an online music download site.
On the site, one song costs 89 penny (316 HUF), an album costs 6.99 pounds (2500 HUF). The chains also offer price guarantee for songs before publishing and, of course, special offers and discounts occurs. (penzcentrum.hu)
